hashtag-resist

On January 29, 2017, protesters arrived at Raleigh-Durham International Airport by the busload. Anticipating only 150 participants, the airport had to briefly cease operations and attempt to prematurely end the protests when an estimated 1000 people gathered outside the entrance to terminal 2.

Buses continually brought protesters from a remote, economy parking lot provided by RDU airport for special events such as these. Every time a bus would arrive, the crowd would erupt into welcoming cheers.
