Moral March 2017
Saturday, February 11th marked the date of the 11th annual Moral March on Raleigh and HKonJ People's Assembly. An estimated 80,000 people assembled, from across the country, to voice their opposition to the repeal of the ACA, racist and unconstitutional gerrymandering, unlivable wages, discrimination, and other harmful, extremist policies being pushed forward by the Trump administration.
In a legal brief filed on February 10, 2017, the Trump administration withdrew their support of Title IX's protections of transgendered individuals use of bathrooms that align with their gender identity. This attack, expected to be the first of many, came on the second day of Jeff Session's tenure as attorney general of the United States.
